ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following: Plans, organizes and supervises shift operation in accordance with production schedules and requirements in the most effective manner. Responsible for process control in area/s. Maintains total awareness of policies and procedures and assures compliance by assigned employees. Supervises employees engaged in manufacturing a quality product with minimal scrap or rework, while meeting customer specifications, cost and delivery requirements. Ensures employees adhere to process control procedures, operating instructions and all quality engineering instructions. Maintains a safe and organized work environment. Emphasizes accident prevention. Ensures that all employees are properly trained in all safety procedures. Ensures that good housekeeping practices are routinely followed. Ensures that target earned standard hours are attained and budget criteria is met or beat. Develops, trains, and involves employees in maintaining and improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation and morale. Works with each employee to effectively resolve conflicts; gives necessary feedback on employee performance. Administers progressive disciplinary actions up to and including suspensions. Ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available to complete production requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 1
