Position Description:

Job Purpose and Scope:

Provides leadership and support to the Bank OZK Real Estate Specialties Group’s Commercial Loan Servicing department, which is responsible for providing a wide range of loan servicing support tasks associated with maintaining a commercial real estate loan portfolio.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists in providing guidance to and oversight of Commercial Loan Servicing staff.

  • Creates and nurtures effective work relationships with supervised staff in order to motivate, coach, and retain staff.

  • Audits posting of daily transactions processed by other RESG staff.

  • Reviews various monthly reports for data accuracy.

  • Assists with collection and filing of periodic property, borrower and guarantor financial statements.

  • Assists with auditing onboarding of new loans into the loan management system.

  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of all data entered into the loan management system based upon supporting loan documentation.

  • Performs loan system file maintenance, as needed.

  • Processes and verifies wire requests.

  • Responds to Asset Manager and loan customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in performance of all essential job functions.

  • Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of loan/banking terms.

  • Ability to read and interpret commercial loan documents.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, for both self and team, at one time.

  • Ability to maintain attention to detail with exacting deadlines.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective and excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements.

  • Ability to work under general supervision and within a team environment.

  • Ability to develop, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve team goals.

  • Skill in using computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor degree preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in loan servicing and/or loan operations required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
