Overview:

  • Location: Dallas / Fort Worth

  • Pay rate: $23 - $26 /hr

  • W2 Telecommunications Technician Level 4

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AT&T-TP-76300 Installer Level 4 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in the telecommunications field, specifically in systems such as common systems, switch, transport, and power. This role requires a high level of technical competence, independence, and leadership in performing complex installation tasks and supervising project teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Installation: Perform complex additions, removals, wiring connections, and modifications on working telecommunications equipment and circuits.

  • Circuit Modifications and Upgrades: Execute circuit modifications, software additions, and power transition work with high proficiency.

  • Equipment Testing and Turn-Up: Conduct thorough testing and turn-up of telecommunications equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with AT&T standards.

  • Supervisory Duties: Act as the in-charge person from the Installation Supplier, overseeing and managing job-site activities, including supervision of subcontractor work.

  • Battery and Power Management: Handle the addition or removal of batteries and circuits on working power distribution sources, as well as modifications to power boards and engine generators.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all installation activities are performed in compliance with AT&T's TP-76300 standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

  • Training and Certification: Maintain technical competence and up-to-date certifications, particularly in Test and Turn-up procedures for specific equipment or procedures.

    Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in the telecommunications equipment installation field or equivalent, as determined by the Installation Supplier.

  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical competence in common systems, switch, transport, and power environments.

  • Leadership Ability: Capable of leading project teams, supervising subcontractors, and serving as the primary in-charge person on installation sites.

  • Certification: Successful completion of training in Test and Turn-up procedures for specific equipment.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and client interactions.
