Salary: $23.65 This position is CBA which is subject to Health & Welfare benefits Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Stationary Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in our facilities. This role will provide hands-on training and mentorship to develop skills in industrial maintenance and engineering. The Apprentice Stationary Engineer will service a central steam plant (CSP) and associated equipment located at Whiteman AFB, MO.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in building maintenance and repair Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment Basic knowledge of, boilers, and other building systems is a plus Excellent communication skills Responsibilities Learn and assist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including boilers, pumps, RO units, valves and other associated support equipment Perform preventive maintenance tasks under supervision Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment Work closely with experienced engineers to learn best practices in building maintenance Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Perform housekeeping duties as required and as assigned. Complies with all state, DOD, and federal statutes and regulations ensuring the safe operation of all equipment. Expected to work 8 and or 12-hour shifts depending on assignment. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Expected to work a reasonable amount of over time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently required to stand. Frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to sit. Occasionally required to enter "confined" spaces. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Continually required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to use sense of smell. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather). While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
