Manager, Employer Engagement

Essential functions (job duties):

Employer Relations:
Promote programs and services with emphasis on experiential learning, job
development, on-campus interviews, and a statewide online recruiting program. Assist
director with fundraising efforts.
Develop quality experiential learning and career opportunities in private/public sectors;
design and implement marketing strategies; build and maintain relationships.
Oversee the coordination of career events. Oversee the communication between
appropriate campus departments and program participants. Conduct ongoing
assessment and provide feedback as to the effectiveness of such events.
Develops communication channels with and serves as a liaison to the campus
community to foster engaged student participation in work experiences and employer
collaboration.
Leads office employer engagement and programming. Develops employer
programming and counselor programming to ensure that team members are additive
and not duplicative of services occurring within Career Services.
Internships/Work Experiences:
Conduct ongoing research of experiential learning programs to expand/refine a
comprehensive program, including internship/co-op/summer and part-time
employment opportunities to provide a service-minded approach to students and
employers. Design strategies to increase the number and type of experiences.
Provide direct support to administrative staff (college liaisons) working with
faculty/college administrators to further enhance a central clearinghouse of
experiential learning opportunities.
Collaborate with administrative staff and faculty to supervise quality/academic
relevance of experiential learning work assignments.
Oversee evaluation and accountability procedures, collect, and analyze data, prepare
reports on the status of experiential learning programs.
Develop and implement a university-wide campaign to increase the awareness and
benefits of participation in experiential learning. Oversee the development and design
of marketing tools including program brochures.
Provide direct supervision to the employer engagement and internship/early talent team members
and other staff as determined by Director.
Support the Director in relationship management with the Career Services advisory committee;
contribute expertise to committee discussions as needed.
Partners with the campus career offices to ensure strong student engagement with a broad range of
employer partners.
Collaborate with the Career Services team to ensure all students have access to and engage in
exploration, experiential learning, skill building, and career action planning.
Ensure that inclusive excellence remains a top priority for every member of the team, providing
ongoing creative outreach across all student populations and systems for monitoring employer
engagement levels and satisfaction.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree in counseling, higher education administration, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Minimum five years of advanced experience in leading programs, innovation, project management, counseling, or career development and planning required.
Two to three years of experience working with undecided college students preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to effectively counsel/advise college students in areas of career planning and academic
development required.
Understanding of employer engagement, experiential learning process and strategies, university
community processes, student needs and workforce development.
Excellent in communication, presentation, and organizational skills required.
Ability to occasionally lift twenty-five pounds.
