Rebuild Center Supervisor

This position is responsible for supervising daily operations of the shop floor; ensuring the shift meets the established safety, quality, and goals while in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and directs activities of assigned shift, ensuring workload adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput.

  • Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput.

  • Collaborates with team leadership and shift team members to champion a world-class safety culture.

  • Trains, coaches, and reviews performance of team members. Partners with Human Resources and Technical Engineering Manager for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.

  • Participates in interviews with hiring managers.

  • Conducts walkthroughs throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance by team members.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

  • Interfaces with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines and requests are met.

  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.

  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve rebuild methods, equipment performance, and quality of the rebuilds.

  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

  • Monitors and reviews assigned team members time and attendance for accuracy.

  • Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycle times.

  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.

  • Travel requirement: less than 25%

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 4 Years – Experience in Position

  • 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects

    *experience may include a combination of work experience and education

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 6 Years – Experience working in Position

  • 6 Years – Experience managing people/projects

*experience may include a combination of work experience and education

  • Ability to lift items up to 60 lbs. throughout shift.
