Carbon Reporting Manager

Role Purpose

As an experienced Carbon Reporting Manager, you will use your in-depth understanding of carbon reporting standards, protocols, and methodologies to lead the carbon and environment reporting processes for CBRE UK Advisory.

You will ensure compliance with reporting and disclosure requirements and deliver accurate performance reports to drive progress across the business.

You will work with stakeholders to manage the collection and analysis of environmental data, ensuring accurate carbon emissions calculations, aligned with sustainability reporting standards.

You will use your knowledge and expertise to regularly report, forecast and provide insights on how CBRE UK Advisory can improve further and to demonstrate leadership and progress toward our ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities

‒Manage the creation of CBRE UK Advisory’s regulatory and voluntary climate reporting requirements, which currently includes our annual ESG, CFD, SECR and ESOS reports, in alignment with recognised carbon accounting standards for reporting emissions.

‒Collaborate with CBRE Group Sustainability teams to ensure CBRE UK Advisory supports a consistent groupwide approach.

‒Engage with data owners and external providers to drive improvements in processes and methods improvements to enhance data quality.

‒Liaise with external auditors to make sure our data is robust and independently verified to carbon standards or frameworks.

‒Lead the production of monthly climate-related metrics for internal use, preparing regular dashboard reports.

‒Analyse data and compile our operational carbon footprint, building forecast scenarios, identifying risks and opportunities, and assist in aligning our carbon reduction plans with external best practices.

‒Keep up to date with relevant legislation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and for emerging methods to drive continuous improvement.

Person Specification/Requirements

‒We're looking for someone with the ability to take ownership for carbon accounting and reporting activities, to engage effectively with data owners and ensure complete, accurate, and credible reporting.

‒You'll need a combination of technical capability and strong communication skills to deliver information to different audiences, internally or externally, to create concise and compelling information.

‒Along with supplier and relationship management experience, you'll have experience of engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability networks and key sustainability influencers.
