Position Description:
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project.
Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for assuring smooth operation of the clinic patient flow.
Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records.
In addition, this position is responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies and maintaining related information for the department.
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred.
Education and or experience with insurance verification process and guidelines.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work closely and effectively with patients in a professional and courteous manner; working in a fast paced environment.
