Job Summary

Implements, develops, upgrades and supports application systems. Works directly with monitoring techs in the National Clinical Command Center as elbow support and performs rounding activities for technical infrastructure in the command center. Ensures that all systems are fully tested before implementation into production. Troubleshoots and resolves reported system and application problems in the test and production environments. Documents and describes processes and procedures relating to current and future systems environments. Educates users on system functionality and capability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Adapt to rapidly changing needs and priorities without losing sight of overall plans and priorities.

  • Analyze and choose between options where the solution is not always obvious.

  • Ensures new installations will integrate with the current application and data technical environment.

  • Leads cross functional application development activities to achieve project objectives.

  • Organizes and is accountable for keeping up-to-date module/application documentation to include associated tools used, common troubleshoot tips with their resolution steps, installation, maintenance, backup process and procedures for the applications/modules assigned.

  • Makes recommendations to update any relevant departmental or organizational policies and procedures as appropriate.

  • Performs and completes assignments, provides consistent quality and quantity of work with minimal supervision.

  • Plays a significant role in solving problems and improving work flow processes and data management methods for multiple software applications.

  • Support, maintain & troubleshoot critical Virtual Health/Telemedicine applications used for virtual/remote patient care in the National Clinical Command/Optimization Center in Phoenix Arizona;

  • Creates and maintains support documentation for deployed applications; Acts as elbow support for the monitoring techs in the Clinical Command Center;

  • Acts as Liaison between the clinical operations team and all the IT teams, third party vendors, and other Common Spirit departments;

  • Helps initiate, track and resolve incident tickets;

  • Contribute to the development of team members, encouraging the acquisition of additional skills and providing opportunities for them to be used effectively.

  • Interfaces with vendors on maintenance release information gathering and planning.

  • Leads evaluations of IT updates and revisions; establishes priorities and plans for release schedules.

  • Leads incident management processes as a function of the entire team and escalates issues as appropriate.

  • Leads identification of continuous improvement opportunities and related projects.

  • Lead team meetings as necessary.

  • Participates in or leads the evaluation, selection and application of new and emerging tools and techniques.

  • Performs or facilitates periodic quality checks and improvement projects to assure that the functions of the application analyst and application systems that are assigned are being performed in an error-free fashion including any change management procedures and/or processes.

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and delivery.

  • Provides leadership through team motivation, coaching, mentoring, and delegating.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment.

  • 4-5 years required

  • 5+Years’ preferred

  • Knowledge of systems and application development in Health Care.

Pay Range

$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
