Grow Southwest Indiana Workforce Board, Inc. Administrative Coordinator in Evansville, Indiana

Reports To: Executive Director

Purpose of Job: To manage procurement, finance, human resources such as service as the Equal Opportunity (EO) officer, and provide administrative support to staff and Board. This includes but is not limited to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Primary Job Responsibilities: Procurement:

  • Manage procurement process for vendors and contractors.
  • Prepare contracts and modifications for customer services and other services procured by the Board.
  • Assist in providing documentation to monitors and auditors.
  • Uphold Regions procurement policy.
  • Manage inventory.

Finance

  • Manage grant expenditures.
  • Serve as liaison to Fiscal Agent.
  • Process Accounts Payable.
  • Provide Fiscal Agent procurement documentation and invoices of expenses incurred by the Board.
  • Process grants and modifications - State, Federal and local.
  • Evaluate office leases and act as liaison to landlords.

Human Resources

  • Process payroll.
  • Assess benefits.
  • Serve as Region 11s EO Officer.
  • Monitor WIOA recipients to ensure EO compliance.
  • Investigate complaints.
  • Survey Regions WorkOne offices for compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Review Region 11s policies to ensure nondiscrimination.
  • Facilitate the assurances of the nondiscrimination requirements.
  • Research, development, and implement human-centered approach to service delivery.

Board Support

  • Assist Executive Director with implementation of goals, strategies, and activities.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate monthly Board and Committee meetings.
  • Provide staff support at Board meetings and committee meetings.
  • Perform other duties or special projects related to system performance as assigned by the Executive Director.

Skill Requirements:

Proficient in analysis and interpretation of government publications, laws, regulations, and other information.

Mathematical skills sufficient for statistical analysis of performance and Board reports.

Collaborative when working across various teams.
