Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. Responsibilities Coordinates with Joint Force Headquarters-Department of Defense Information Networks (JFHQ-DODIN) for tactical control of DCO assets as well as synchronizing across all Service components for situational awareness and information validation. Individual will maintain regular contact with counterparts in the CO and Information Assurance (IA) communities to address specific threats to the DODIN. Performs quality control for quality and quantity of finished work. Monitors and, as required, directs IWOC personnel to integrate, synchronize and support the combatant commanders by deployment of ARCYBER personnel when required. Coordinates directly with the Cyberspace Threat Assessment team for both proactive and reactive threats to the Army portion of the DODIN. Assists the IWOC DCO Branch Chief in the current fight to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of Army information and information systems worldwide. Analyzes information to integrate and coordinate resources across the spectrum of Cyberspace Operations (CO), Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations), Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence. 2. Oversees assigned civilian, military and contractor employees, performing a variety of Cyberspace Operations (CO) mission support functions. (i.e. assigns work, adjust workloads, modifies procedures to alleviate backlogs or delays, reviews completed work, performs quality control for quality, determines deadlines and provides guidance on complex situations). 3. Coordinates directly with the Cyberspace Threat Assessment teams for both proactive and reactive threats to the Army portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations. 4. Maintains Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) leadership abreast of efforts while battle tracking all DCO incidents. 5. Serves as the ingress point for all Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) incidents.
