HR Business Partner

This Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) position will be based at our headquarters in in Ft Worth, Texas and will support multiple business functions as required. This role will report to a HRBP Leader who will also be based in Ft Worth, Texas.

What you’ll be doing as an HR Business Partner

This position provides strategic and operational support in partnership with business unit leadership, plans and implements human resources initiatives designed to maximize organizational effectiveness through talent management processes and job/organization design. The HRBP aligns HR initiatives with strategic business objectives and coordinates with other HR functions to execute objectives consistent with Corporate Business and HR strategy, policies, and practices.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Identifies and migrates HR best practices on a regional/global basis through Human Resources leadership.

  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces project, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Acts as primary contact for employee relations’ issues and resolutions.

  • Collaborates with client groups to manage employee job performance by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Acts as advocate and advisor to employees and leaders regarding career and leadership development initiatives.

  • Develops and delivers presentations to leaders and employees regarding HR policies and practices.

  • Contributes to team effort by proactively participating in and helping accomplish team objectives.

  • In collaboration with the respective functional personnel, coordinates staffing forecast to project employment/deployment needs. Where appropriate, coordinates hiring activities with the Global Talent Acquisition team.

  • Administers compensation processes for the designated function(s) within guidelines and/or partners with the Compensation team on recommendation of alternatives to meet business requirements.

  • Supports competitive pay and retention practices by collecting data, researching and making salary recommendations where appropriate.

  • Helps drive an environment of engagement, shared success and continuous improvement.

  • Operates within the boundaries of the Textron/Bell Business Conduct Guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other related field from an accredited college.

  • Minimum 2 years’ HR experience.

  • Knowledgeable of applicable state and federal labor and employment laws.

  • Ability to travel, as business needs require.

  • High level of trust and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.

  • Proven ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential data.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate at all levels within a highly matrixed organization.

  • High customer focus with strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • Ability to diagnose problems and drive appropriate solutions

  • Ability to anticipate issues/needs and to work proactively to address them.

  • Strong ability to balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Prior direct experience with positive employee relations and/or working in a unionized environment.

  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational, project management and facilitation skills.

  • Developed analytical skills and ability to mine business intelligence, assess data, and draw conclusions.

  • Experience in manufacturing or technology industry.
