Our Opportunity:

Project Director is an individual contributor role, and will share our passion for technology, collaboration, innovation, and excellence. You will be responsible for creating project plans, lead scrum of scrums, collaborate across the cross-organizational team effort, manage risks, provide oversight, and document all aspects of our projects across a large Project Portfolio. You will work closely with the other Program Directors and project managers of consuming products to align on product delivery. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience working with technology and business partners to produce results in a timely manner. The candidate will work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive programs or large, complex projects to completion, while championing business objectives and goals

  • Adapt style to work with a diverse set of stakeholder needs and expectations

  • Work across diverse business and technical partners to broker decisions and negotiate trade-offs

  • Distill complex information for business partners

  • Communicate effectively at an executive level

  • Mediate and resolve conflicts, maintain a strategic focus when making decisions

  • Demonstrate sound judgment regarding decisions and escalations with complete information

  • Drive to complete project/program planning and execute roadmaps.

  • Provide supervision and direction to project teams to ensure successful execution

  • Ensure quality and evidence of project documentation

  • Ensure program/project financials adhere to and align with budgetary expectations

  • Understand project interdependencies and anticipate/manage/mitigate risks at a program level

  • Understanding of agile processes, team velocity and the ability to forecast progress accordingly

  • Collaborate across Build, Support, Automation and architectural teams to help remove roadblocks and drive platform adoption

  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal technical and legal teams to manage relationships and contractual agreements

  • Manage the overall departmental budget, track expenditures and ensure efficient departmental operations

  • Understand project interdependencies and anticipate/manage/mitigate risks

  • Inspire project team members to improve their own performance; engage and motivate teams to go beyond their role expectations, to help each other, and to exceed goals

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 + years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments.

  • 5 + Program management experience.

  • Experience with complex programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science would be preferred

  • Proven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders through focused execution of business priorities

  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organization

  • Sound business and technical acumen

  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure

  • Demonstrated and applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools and methodologies
