Our Opportunity:

The Identity & Access Management (IAM) department is responsible for the administration of user access for the windows and mainframe environment for all Schwab internal users. This includes Active Directory, Exchange, TSO/Beta, SecurID, VAS enabled UNIX, Remedy, and a variety of other Schwab Business applications. We also provide technical support for access control issues for Schwab global-wide production systems

The Mainframe Security Engineering role will include administration, support and troubleshooting of the TopSecret mainframe environment and maintenance of the mainframe Security database, acting as Access Management’s technical contact for the RDD database in Remedy.

What you’ll do:

The position includes mainframe administration and provisioning, development and maintenance, audit support, and mainframe strategy.

The selected candidate will administer access and provide support for Schwab-wide production mainframe systems in compliance with Information Security, Privacy and SOX policies and procedures. Administration responsibilities include provisioning resources and system IDs, the initial creation of permissions and resources for new software, participation in large scale maintenance projects, creation of Digital Certificates and Crypto Keys , provide daily Top Secret guidance to support to the IAM team, and on call support.

Development responsibilities include Infrastructure software development and maintenance (DB2 extracts, execs), supporting Top Secret new Releases, and certifying Hypers/Apars maintenance.

The selected candidate will work to support audit responsibilities. Responsibilities include incident investigations of violations and replies to Top Secret infrastructure Audits often including the creation of reports for systems IDs and infrastructure.

Strategically the individual will help determine the direction of the Top Secret architecture at Schwab, review Mainframe Security, and identify opportunities for improvement and areas that require immediate change.

A successful candidate has experience with TopSecret security administration. The individual must exhibit an ability to work both independently and within teams to complete work with minimum supervision. Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills are required.
