The Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) Business Management team is responsible for developing internal strategic initiatives to support the broader infrastructure platform in the areas of Financial Management, Audit and Compliance, Operational Excellence, Strategic Transformation and Asset Management. The TIS Business Management team is seeking an inquisitive, passionate Senior Staff Software/Hardware Asset Management Analyst focused on IT Asset Management Governance, Audits, Software and Hardware Data Analyses and will be responsible for policies and standards and audits within the IT Asset management process. Additionally you will provide in depth subject matter expertise for the continuous improvement of the IT Asset process to maximize IT Assets value and minimize risk.
The position requires a broad range of experience within IT, including general understanding of best practices in IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, Infrastructure, Networking, Operations, Information Security, Application Lifecycle Management, Project Management, and Change Management is required.
These duties will include Governance and Internal and Vendor Audit activities, software portfolio management, hardware management, license entitlements and metrics for both software and hardware. This position will work closely with product owners and subject matter experts to encourage their active participation. This position will have an opportunity to interact with senior leadership within multiple organizations and should be able to traverse all areas of communications: (from the deep technical, individual contributor level to the higher/strategic executive level communication).
What you’ll do:
Manage, maintain and continuously improve IT Asset Management policies, standards and supporting documentation.
Facilitate annual governance reviews of the IT Asset Management policies and standards.
Exert expertise over lifecycle process for key IT Assets, vendors and or technologies, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Facilitate Audit activities using established process and procedures to demonstrate ongoing compliance with license and contract obligations. Engage all required parties throughout audit process.
Support Internal Audit activities.
Publish and communicate the Key Performance Indicators.
Gather data, publish and communicate identified monthly executive and compliance reports.
Attend and present at Process Service Review and Process Owners Council meetings as necessary.
Serve as Software Asset Manager for a percentage of software portfolios.
Understand and manage license metrics.
Discover hardware inventory discrepancies and perform remediation as needed to create verified asset records.
Work with various teams to identify and correct discrepancies with hardware data accuracy and publish metrics related to those discrepancies.
Support Schwab initiatives around purchases and maintaining software and hardware Total Cost of Ownership.
Identify and engage IT service/ process owners in regularly scheduled IT governance activities.
Facilitate annual IT service/process maturity assessments and the development of process improvement plans and/or process roadmaps.
Develop training and implement vendor audit awareness Company wide.
Work with process owners to regularly collect process metrics (KPIs, SLA's) and artifacts that demonstrate process compliance and process improvement, in support of performance management and audit activities.
Establish an effective meeting and communication cycle with IT stakeholders.
Establish clear guidance and criteria for process and policy changes, as well as a standard process to socialize and communicate those changes to IT Stakeholders.
Lead efforts around effective integration between various IT groups and drives activities for improved software purchase process.
Lead efforts related to automation and catalog integrations.
What you have:
Computer Science or related technical degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with IT monitoring tools and dashboards.
Experience of Software Asset Management.
Understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes.
Strong program management experience.
Strong documentation and organization skills.
Service experience from service inception to transition, operations, metrics and reporting.
Self-motivated and able to work independently leading or participating in virtual teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with both technical and business leaders.
Able to influence, negotiate with and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
Able to work in a fast paced environment, meet challenging deadlines and maintain high quality standards.
Demonstrated success managing many competing requests, projects and priorities.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum, COBIT methodologies.
Proven leadership ability in a matrixes environment.
Proven ability to influence change.
Process and tool integration awareness.
