Retirement Business Services Technology (RBS) is looking for a seasoned Manager to help lead and mentor 2 SCRUM teams. These team members include developers and testers for multiple externally facing web applications products within RBS. The result of a job well done will be the delivery of enhanced solutions to external Schwab customers striving to succeed in personal retirement planning and investing!
This role would include oversight and planning for both Project and Maintenance work. This individual will engage primarily with direct and indirect reports and business partners at multiple levels of the organization.
What you’ll do:
This role requires a highly motivated, organized and experienced business focused technology leader experienced in managing production operations and Agile software delivery teams within the financial services industry.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of IT project experience in technical, project and offshore vendor management capabilities - preferably with Distributed, Web based technologies.
5+ years of people management experience with at least 5 direct reports
5+ years of experience with running medium to large/complex projects with multiple dependencies using Scrum processes in planning, implementation and support of business application components, including change & release management. Including an advanced mastery of Sprint 0 and Release Planning ceremonies.
Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail & the ability to design, execute & maintain strategic goals & metrics. Broad and deep knowledge of IT/software technology & trends, domain knowledge and experience in infrastructure support, application development. Including: web services, micro-services, UX, middleware, operating systems, databases, networking, security & business intelligence. Strong knowledge of software development, testing, maintenance and support.
Good knowledge of, Microsoft Office and Development Tools such as TFS
Good knowledge of the Atlassian suite of products - Confluence & Jira
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to independently work as a contributing leader in a high-paced and focused team
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a flexible and fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations
Experience with CI, CD, TDD & BDD is a plus
3+ years of experience in Financial Services Industry
3+ years of experience in Retirement a plus
