Cyber Fraud Analyst

Work Model: Hybrid, Framingham, MA

What you’ll be doing:

  • Execute deep analysis to understand current and historical trends.

  • Collate data from various sources to identify fraudulent transactions; including alerts from machine learning anomaly detection.

  • Investigate and resolve fraud cases from start to finish.

  • Provide actionable feedback to Analytics Team on emerging trends and how to better serve our customers.

  • Interpret results from machine learning decision tree output to understand risk profiles.

  • Act as the subject matter expert and liaison to all business stakeholders and partners.

  • Communicate and involve relevant internal and external stakeholders to respond to escalations and incidents (fraud or policy management) as a first point of contact for all stakeholders. (E.g., Legal, Customer Service, Finance, Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Merchants).

What you bring to the table:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong decision-making ability and be self-disciplined.

  • Ability to analyze data for patterns and trends and communicate findings in an effective manner.

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, results orientated, and changing environment.

  • Deep understanding of Staples’ fraud landscape; strong written/verbal communication skills to explain fraud identification to internal/external customers.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of knowledge and experience with regard to fraud, security, or ecommerce operations.

  • Must be available to work nights/weekends on a rotating schedule.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Tableau and SQL a plus

  • Understanding of the current cyber fraud landscape preferred

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
