Our client, a leader in the building technology industry, is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to join their team. As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be part of the Fire Safety Department supporting our Smart Buildings team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Fire Alarm Inspector

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $30.00/hr

What’s the Job?

• Conduct inspections, testing, and servicing of fire alarm equipment to ensure compliance with NFPA72 standards and local codes.

• Troubleshoot fire alarm systems effectively.

• Adhere to site-specific training protocols and complete required documentation, including deficiency repair recommendations.

• Maintain accurate service ticket documentation.

• Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime when necessary and participate in on-call rotation within 3 months of hire.

What’s Needed?

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Alarm and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.

• Ability to interpret design and construction documents.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, laptops, emails, smartphones, and tablets.

• Capability to lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
