Job Description:
Collect- Facilitate the Collection of Trainee Data
Train and supervise work-study students and department staff in the collection (in GatorTrain) of trainee & alumni data from external sources (LinkedIn, PubMed, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, ORCiD, etc.) Leverage internal data sources from GIMS, PeopleSoft, and other UF data systems to form a comprehensive view of each PhD and Postdoctoral Trainee’s experience pre, present, and post UF
Disseminate- NIH Data Tables, Websites, and Program/Department Reports
Prepare NIH data tables for new & renewal applications, and progress reports; assist program administrators with their program’s websites’ design and content; prepare alumni analyses for PhD Programs and Departments
Database Design
Add/modify features in GatorTrain for data organization and presentation. Design customized databases, linked to GatorTrain, for training grant administration, to be used by the Principle Investigators and Administrators of each training program.
Collaboration in University-Wide Efforts
Work with the UF Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, the HSC Library, the Graduate School, and the Career Connections Center to design social media training content and delivery mechanisms.
Curate- Data Control and Curation
Perform quality control on the results of data collection and classify according to the BRET Taxonomy of Career Outcomes
Expected Salary:
$45,600 - $59,000
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s in Library & Information Science
Five (5) years’ experience in database management
Knowledge of UF data management systems: People Soft, Enterprise Reporting, GIMS, and Sharepoint
Competence with EndNote, WordPress, Tableau, and mySQL
Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office programs, especially Access and Excel
