About the position:

We’re looking for an Industrial Paint Department Manager to plan, organize, and manage the activities, resources and people for assigned projects and functional areas of responsibility, ensuring goals and objectives clearly support the strategic plan of the organization. You will provide leadership and guidance. The Industrial Paint Department manager will support the senior manager and will work with limited supervision. Confer regularly with manager on unusual matters and keep manager apprised of status and progress within the functional areas. Projects and responsibilities are generally large and/or complex. The scope of responsiblities and/or impacts on the organization is generally at a departmental level. As a Paint Department Manager, you will:

  • Manage individual contributors and/or supervisors/lower-level managers with advanced or specialized skills.

  • Supervising staff and delegating tasks

  • Hire, train, and assess the performance of associates.
  • Establish goals for production and coordinate a plan to meet them.
  • Ensure production remains on schedule.
  • Assure products meet quality standards.
  • Write production reports.
  • Analyze production data and optimize for efficiency.
  • Direct an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials.
  • Ensure safety standards are adhered to.
  • Observe and recommend process improvements.
  • Manage and develop processes, procedures, and metrics.
  • Manage and report status as required to support manufacturing statement of work.
  • Support and manage planning and analysis activities.

About the work environment:

Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is strongly preferred (Leadership, Engineering, Business)
  • This is a mid-level management role within the organization. Eight or more years of professional experience, with at least three years of management experience is required. Strongly prefer experience in manufacturing and industrial powder-coat painting
  • Experience in the technical competencies of the functional area of responsibility is strongly preferred (industrial paint). .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and other industry software.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $94,900 - $121,500 annually. Compensation is commensurate with candidate’s experience and skills.

Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
