Hotel: Columbus Airport Marriott Accounting Associate Full time Atrium SPIRIT - where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellence Rate of Pay: $ 20.00 hour is the experienced rate. Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Accounting Associate is to provide accounting support to the hotel by ensuring the daily accounting functions are completed accurately in accordance with finance policies and procedures. Work Performed: TheAccounting Associate willbe tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments: Ensure the income audit, billing/collections, accounts payable, and daily cash deposits arecompleted; Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree ofintegrity; Performdailyaccounting and clerical functions to supporthotelstaff; Provide exceptional service to guestsand Associatesby promptly researching, tracking, and resolvingaccountingissuesin a friendlymanner; Ensure timely and accurate credit card and cashdeposits; Monitor and report on cashier over/shortprocedures; Assist corporate accounting staff with month end tasksand/or research asrequested; Ensure the hotel'sguests,city, andadvancedeposit ledgers are in balance with the general ledgerdaily; UtilizeExcel,Workbooks, andAccess to submit reports to corporate office asrequested;and Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Qualifications: Required Prior Experience: 1+ years accounting experience Preferred Prior Experience: Previoushotel accounting experience Front deskhotelexperience Required Education: High School Diplomaor Equivalent Required Technology: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Preferred Technology: Working knowledge ofPOS and PMS systems Experience withBirch Street, Concur, andProfitSage, Sage300 Workday Physical: Able to lift 10lbs regularly Ableto bend and squat repeatedly Able to walk, stand, or sit for duration of scheduled shift Other: Flexible towork dayshifts, early mornings, evenings,nights,weekends and holidays
