TEKsystems is looking for a Network Engineer to join our client in Gulfport, MS. This network engineer will be primary engineer on an existing team of two supporting the enterprise network environment for projects, maintenance, documentation, network mapping, and other relevant upkeep. This an excellent opportunity to join a stable industry and to take ownership of a network and lead its future projects. This position is on site in Gulfport, MS.

Job Duties:

Candidates need to be proficient in enterprise network routing/switching, troubleshooting, and documentation. They currently use Microsoft Visio and need help with documentation of their network layout. They need diagrams that shows the current layout and need to make updates when something is deployed or designed. This person will export configurations and show other LAN admins how that works.

Our client is moving from Cisco to Aruba but they understand that commands and though processes are very similar and they are open to candidates who have Cisco experience. The network team is responsible for taking escalated tickets (Solarwinds ticketing system) for any network related issues,

Our client is currently looking at vendors to help them re-vamp their core and firewalls but this person will work closely with the vendor they choose.
