OVERVIEW
This Director must maintain complete control of a portfolio of infrastructure projects across multiple geographic regions in a variety of industries. Tracking, managing, and reporting project scope, schedule, revenue/budget, and risk issue KPIs. Manage client expectations and risks across the enterprise. Maintain project portfolio updates, maintain trusting relationships, identify project risks early and drive profitability, morale, quality, and innovation. Expertise building technical work breakdown structures, project plans, cost-plus and value-based pricing models.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proven prior experience performing all Project Management Office responsibilities and functions, including portfolio planning, pricing, project initiation, execution, closeout, and risk management across a variety of IT Infrastructure disciplines (Networking, Data Center, Cloud, Virtualization, Security and End Points).
P&L responsibility for Project Services division
Experience managing enterprise technology project portfolio in a matrixed organization
Balancing technical resource availability against demand and prioritizing client needs:
Work with engineering to create project work break-down plans, resource plans, budgets and timelines
Identifies specific resources needed and works with engineering management to schedule
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of division across teams
Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
Presents KPI and Project status to clients
Manages divisional (Project Services) financial performance against plan/budget
Client Management
Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations
Communicates with clients to identify needs and evaluate project risks
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mastery of Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices
Expertise with large-scale Project Portfolio management and management tools
Technical understanding in the areas of LAN/WAN networking, wireless, desktop deployments, virtualization, unified communications, and the various Microsoft technologies
“Digital Transformation” / Cloud Migration and infrastructure experience a plus
Ability to harness resources across teams to deliver the most value for the company
PMP certification strongly preferred
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Polished professional presence and ability to present to clients and lead meetings
