Lockheed Martin Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian / Manager - Level 3 in Henderson, Nevada

The selected candidate will join the LMA Classified Cybersecurity Team as a COMSEC Custodian/Manager supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) located at Palmdale, CA to ensure classified information systems (IS) meet cybersecurity requirements and government directives.

COMSEC duties will be performed in accordance with National Security Agency (NSA) Central Security Service Policy Manual No. 3-16 & related COMSEC derivatives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, COMSEC Manager; detailed knowledge in cryptographic techniques including use of US Electronic Keying Management System (EKMS), crypto key generation and distribution; experience in Benign technique; conduct normal operations of managing a COMSEC Account; install key and diagnostic testing of COMSEC equipment and provide COMSEC support/oversight to establish secure voice, data links systems and navigation as required; ensure COMSEC compliance in support of successful government reviews.

Candidate will support the development/administration of a robust COMSEC Training Program for the COMSEC user community on handling of keying material, aids and equipment; support COMSEC Material Control System and inventory; safeguard/account for classified and unclassified COMSEC Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCIs); disseminate, inventory, and destroy COMSEC keying material; maintain COMSEC records; perform courier duties for COMSEC material and equipment, perform all COMSEC related investigations and comply with security procedures. Candidate may be required to provide support to other off-site locations.

Candidate will assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with information systems and Risk management Framework security compliance as required.

Assist in data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security violations/incidents.

Candidate will interface with internal/external customers to identify requirements and provide problem resolution.

Publicize and maintain security directives, policies and procedures.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Possess a minimum of 3 years experience, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in National Security Agency NSA COMSEC Account Manager of a DoD account.

Possess a minimum of two (2) years experience in telecommunications circuit/network encryption requirements to include in-depth knowledge of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) equipment, operation, and associated keying material.

Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) security environments.

Desired Skills:

Have the ability to teach and instruct users on the proper use and protection of COMSEC material and conduct annual training with COMSEC Responsible Officers (CRO)s.

Demonstrate the ability to provide advanced troubleshooting on COMSEC devices including contacting technical resources from the manufacturer.

Possess DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification (i.e. Sec+).

Experience tracking and documenting the issuance, inventory, and receipt of COMSEC materials.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
