Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking an experienced FP&A Team Lead, Manager II to support our LATAM FP&A team.

We are looking for a FP&A Team Lead, Manager II to perform business specific Financial Planning & Analysis activities. The person will work with business partners on delivering reporting and financial analysis. Helping the businesses in the decision making process, supporting them by providing data analysis and business insight.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, and will be passionate about process improvement and automation. This person will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, while demonstrating strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Business Responsibilities

• Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics and goals

• Perform cost and headcount forecasting

• Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews on a timely manner

• Facilitate the business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items

• Perform ad-hoc business and financial analyses

• Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls

• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 4+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 3+ members experience

  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 3+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
