Bob Evans Farms operates in multiple convenience foods categories within grocery and club. It holds #1 market positions in three major categories. This winning brand has been experiencing strong growth, a trend it's expecting to continue mostly through its leadership in the refrigerated dinner and breakfast categories. Bob Evans Farms products are distributed nationally in retailers throughout North America. Responsibilities This position will be responsible for all grounds maintenance and upkeep, including lawn care, snow removal, repair on outdoor equipment and buildings. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining technical and automated equipment to include stuffers, slicers, printers, labelers and stackers as needed. Also to include process systems, ammonia refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and other building utilities. Accountabilities 1. Maintenance and upkeep of all property grounds, including lawns, driveways, parking lots, buildings and related areas 2. Lawn mowing, snow removal, building upkeep, repairs and related duties 3. Assisting with any work inside of the plant as needed 4. Production startup and coverage 5. Dismantles machinery to trouble-shoot and repair-electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and refrigeration components 6. Uses prints, specifications, follows verbal instructions to make repairs to electrical, refrigeration and waste water systems. 7. Troubleshoot and program PLC’s and maintain the integrity of programing 8. Uses hand tools and testing instruments to perform mechanical and electrical repairs, welding cutting and fabricating. 9. Assist in the installation of equipment. 10. Perform and assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. 11. Perform general maintenance of building and equipment. 12. Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, and machinery. 13. Fabricates replacement parts. 14. Comply with applicable environment, health, and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries. 15. Must be self-motivated, working with little supervision at times or working individually in a team atmosphere. Qualifications Qualifications · Basic electrical/mechanical/welding/PLC knowledge in a Food Manufacturing Environment. · Experience operating equipment such as snow plows, commercial lawn mowers, and related equipment. · Judgment to make decisions regarding sequence of maintenance operations to be performed within the limits of standard practice. · Ability to work in variable conditions, cold, wet, dust, outside, etc. · Ability to work flexible shifts & overtime as required · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals. · Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem. · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. · Experience in food packaging environment is a plus.
