We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Revenue Audit Sr within our Accounting group based in Houston, TX.

 The following are job duties expected of the Revenue Audit Senior:

 ·       Execute audit work plan to ensure Oxy’s net revenue interest, royalty, overriding royalty interest revenues are properly paid under the applicable agreements and in accordance with Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) Revenue Audit Protocols (AG-21).

·       Analyze and gather financial data out of SAP to provide to our third party consultants as requested.

·       Assist vendors with audit procedures with the ability to learn quickly and gain comfort with bringing audits in-house in future years.

·       Coordinate with other groups (Land, Marketing, etc.) to gather information for each audit.

·       Understand and help communicate the audit findings for each audit completed.

·       Assist with following up on open information requests.

·       Maintain SharePoint site and Power BI dashboard to disclose all our audit results and audit plan status.

·       Support other special projects at the direction of the Director, Revenue Audit & Special Projects.

·       Develop positive working relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related degree.
  • Self-motivated and hardworking individual.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable dealing with peers and management
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
  • Good problem solving and time management skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in COPAS OBO revenue or operational auditing.
  • Upstream Oil and Gas experience / background a plus.
  • Experience with SAP (including Business Warehouse) a plus.
  • Professional certification, CPA, a plus.

Relocation will not be provided.
