Based out of our Houston office, we have a current need for a SCADA Lead Engineer on a contract for 1 year with potential to extend.

For this position, we are looking for individuals that have experience in SCADA and control system implementation, systems integration, requirements evaluation, high-performance display design, control systems programming, testing, and commissioning. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a team in design, implementation, and integration of Aveva Enterprise SCADA control system for Gas Pipeline and Distribution operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirements evaluation, infrastructure evaluation, and design input for setting up a new SCADA system environment.

  • Establish uniform display representations to monitor and control pipeline systems/LDCs, employing consistent HMI designs and visualization techniques.

  • Balance technical feasibility with practical considerations, such as systems performance, support, and scalability.

  • Collaborate with business, automation & operations teams to develop systems design aligned with product specifications, process demands, layout requirements, and lead-time constraints.

You’ll work with cross-functional technology and application teams to design, develop, and support data interfaces and exchanges. We want to empower you to deliver solutions to our client.

Please note: This position will be hybrid working 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) in the client office and working remotely on Wednesday and Friday.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting control systems for automation, process monitoring, or pipeline control.

  • Experience with Aveva OASyS and/or Enterprise SCADA integration/programing.

  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning Operational Technology & SCADA projects.

  • Experience in the Gas Pipeline or Utilities industry.
