Description

A System Administrator with Hyper-v is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s servers and network infrastructure, including but not limited to virtual server environments. The System Administrator will ensure the efficient operation of Microsoft Hyper-V environments according to architectural guidelines and best practice.

Job Description:

• Install, manage and administer Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technology.

• Protect system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

• Monitor and maintain the Microsoft Hyper-V environment.

• Perform disaster recovery operations including backup and restoration of virtual servers.

• Monitor performance and ensure systems availability and reliability.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to virtualization environment.

• Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate and optimize systems.

• Keeping up to date on advances and best practices in IT administration and system security.

• Plan and implement system upgrades including hardware, application software, and operating systems.

• Documenting processes and procedures, as well as system configurations.

• Provide system administration support for other Windows Server roles such as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP service.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

• Prior experience in system administration including hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Strong knowledge of system and network monitoring systems.

• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of server hardware, software installation, and maintenance.

• Good communication skills to interact with team members, management, and customers.

• Teamwork skills and attention to detail.

• Proactive in learning new technologies and skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

This job requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills.
