Lockheed Martin Aircraft Mechanic III/Structures - HURLBURT FIELD, FL in Hurlburt Field, Florida

Description: Perform completion of Organizational-Level,

Intermediate-Level and Depot-Level aircraft

maintenance tasks, repairs, modifications, Time

Compliance with Technical Orders and One-Time

Inspections on CV-22 aircraft. Perform rework of

non-consumable components and the following

unprogrammed contingency Items: Crash

Damage Repair, Structural rebuild, drop-In

aircraft maintenance, and Depot Field Team

support. Perform acceptance inspections of

critical flight control components after return

from rework or upon receipt from the

manufacturer as well as aircraft acceptance and transfer inspections. Perform skin depth penetration damage repair with fabricated honeycomb core plug, pot, and patch repair. Perform proper wet layups exercising care to eliminate air bubbles, waves, folds, pockets, resin starved areas, as well as metal bonded repairs exercising care to eliminate disbanded areas and uncured adhesives. Perform Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance actions. Perform

composite/aluminum surface preparation for

structural bonded repairs. Perform injection

repairs of edge delamination on composite

laminates. Remove and fabricate

carbon/fiberglass epoxy and aluminum repair

patches. Reattach loose skin surface ply and

seal with missing ply. Perform complex

system/sub-system troubleshooting. Use

chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings,

primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes.

Assemble and install parts, structural

components, and sub-assemblies to build and

attach major wing assemblies, including sealing,

plumbing systems, and electrical components.

Inspect work for quality and check for Foreign

Object Debris (FOD). Work on composite/metal

aircraft using drills and high-impact vibratory

tools (i.e., bucking, riveting). Operate

mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. scissor

lifts, elevated work platforms). On-the-job

training and documentation training of active duty

maintenance technicians as required. Travel

to other CV-22 locations to perform maintenance

repairs may be required. Additional duties as

required

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum four (4) years of CV-22 airframe,

military industry experience in those duties as

previously described.

Extensive working knowledge using

technical publications, bulletins, diagrams,

ground support equipment, and precision tools in

accordance with the Interactive Electronic

Technical Manual (IETM).

Ability to look up, read, and comprehend

technical work instructions,

drawings, and/or specifications.

Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Prior experience with CV-22 Integrated

Maintenance Concept (IMC) operations.

NEC or MOS-specific military Advanced Composite

Structure Repair Level 1 and/or Level 2 training.

Knowledge and experience in the setup and

operation of computer-aided, manual, and

pneumatic tools and equipment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
