Oracle Senior Applications Engineer in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

Are you an engineer with extensive experience developing Enterprise SaaS applications?

Are you an engineer who aspires to join the bandwagon working on revolutionizing the Supply Chain experience using Smart Operations concepts and technologies?

At Oracle, we are developing a wide range of Smart Operations capabilities for Supply Chain products to uplevel the real-time execution experience. Intelligent predictive algorithms and Digital Twins will power these NextGen capabilities. Our solutions will use data from machines and processes, perform historical data analytics on them, analyze them in real time, and use AI to provide users with actionable insights.

We are looking for highly talented and passionate software engineers to join the Smart Operations development team.

You will be responsible for the design and development of new Smart Operations capabilities for Supply Chain products.

Responsibilities

  • Design/develop the core Smart Operations capabilities and necessary extensions for Supply Chain products

  • Design/develop of Digital Twin models and capabilities for Supply Chain processes

  • Integrate with AI services for real-time insights into Supply Chain executions

  • Contribute ideas for continually improving the team's productivity, job enjoyment, and code quality

  • Actively mentor junior developers to develop their technical expertise

  • Have fun engineering NextGen capabilities in Supply Chain Execution

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE, XML, RESTful web services, ADFbc, SOA

  • Understanding of Database concepts and SQL

  • Functional Understanding of Oracle SCM applications (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Inventory, Planning, etc.)

  • Experience in developing applications and extensions for Oracle Fusion Cloud using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service, Web Services, and Redwood will be a big plus

  • Excellent knowledge of OO Design patterns, ER modeling, and UML

  • Excellent programming skills with a core focus on Product Quality

  • Excellent understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and distributed computing

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum-based development processes

  • Ability to design and develop solutions of low to medium levels of complexity

  • Proven track record of solving business problems creatively

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Track record to mentor junior team members will be a plus

  • 4+ years of industry experience in related field

  • BS/MS in Computer Science is a plus
