Description

As the General Manager with Warehouse Experience, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, and team leadership. You will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of success in warehouse management.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize warehouse operations, improve efficiency, and meet company objectives.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. Ensure accurate inventory counts and minimize stock discrepancies.

  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers and optimize shipping routes.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, coordinators, and warehouse associates. Provide guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and monitor performance against targets. Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations from established goals.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.

  • Cost Control: Manage warehouse budgets and expenses effectively. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of products throughout the warehouse processes. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency. Encourage innovation and creativity among warehouse staff to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, purchasing, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the organization. Provide regular updates to senior management on warehouse performance and key initiatives.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.

  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective plans to achieve company goals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to warehouse operations.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional) is a plus.
