We are seeking a Production Manager to oversee our in-house printing operation. This position reports to the Customization Director, directs a team of production personnel / machine operators, and works closely with our sales and design teams.. This will be a mid-level management position and requires previous management experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Manage day to day in house screen print, pad print, laser, and digital print
Work with production scheduler to ensure advertised lead time expectations are met and customer deadlines are upheld
Provide direction and training to employees and develop a highly trained, motivated and efficient team
Responsible for hiring and onboarding of new team members
Develop processes and continuously work to improve efficiency, quality and error reduction
Manage and allocate resources appropriately
Maintain labor and material budget in alignment with customer demand and growth
Track productivity and report production numbers
Ensure machine maintenance and repair needs are met
Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations
Develop a working knowledge/familiarity with all shop machinery and equipment
Essential Functions:
Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with other employees and management
Strong eye for detail; ability to accurately mix inks to match specific Pantone colors
Ability to think critically and communicate complex thoughts and/or ideas in clear and concise manner
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Able to frequently lift/move up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs
Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach and use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and/or assemble/disassemble equipment
Experience and Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a management / supervisory role
Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to speak, read and write in English fluently
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Available to work occasional overtime and/or weekends during high volume periods
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with operating forklifts, pallet jacks and carts to move palletized inventory
Computer skills including NetSuite, Google products, and MS Office products such as Excel and Word
Experience with inventory management and WMS
Previous experience in print production setting
