Bartender Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures. Delivers exceptional guest service as defined by Arizona Charlie’s Boulder. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.

  • Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.

  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures and standards.

  • Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, always in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features/activities to respond to guest inquiries.

  • Obtain assigned bank as necessary and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.

  • Complete opening and closing duties.

  • Inspect cleanliness and condition of bar, guest and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.

  • Ensure that all drink orders from servers are accurately rung into the P.O.S. system before giving drinks to them.

  • Prepare and serve all drink orders for guests according to outlet recipes.

  • Provide club service for designated beverages.

  • Present guest checks and process payments. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

  • Close all guest checks in the P.O.S. system immediately upon payment.

  • Direct and assist Apprentice Bartenders and Cocktail Servers in their job functions to ensure smooth and efficient service to guests.

  • Ensure maximum usage of all supplies to attain budgeted beverage cost and to prevent waste.

  • Follow all Clark County Health Codes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 21 years of age to handle liquor.

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Bartender or Apprentice Bartender, and food experience preferred.

  • Previous experience bartending at a bar which serves both guests and beverage servers preferred

  • Experience with Infogenisis POS system preferred.

  • Fluency in English both verbal and written.

  • Provide legible communication.

  • Compute quickly and accurately basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).

  • Ability to use computers and calculators

  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

  • Understand guest’s service needs.

  • Work with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Physical Requirements

  • Walk, stand or stoop up to 100% of time.

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 30 pounds.

  • Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.

  • Communicate via radios

  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas for 7 hours during work shift.

  • Reach 2 feet above shoulders at least 10% of time.

  • Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers.

  • Inspect and/or detect odors to ensure product quality and safety.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Working inside in a noisy, smoky, and hot or cold environment
