Overview and Essential Functions

Prince Telecom is looking for a Site Surveyor and Designer for the Greater Atlanta area. Under the direction of a Designing Supervisor, our field surveyor/designers are responsible for responding to design/documentation demands and meeting response time and output goals. This is a hybrid position that does require some traveling

Responsibilities:

The Fielder will take notes and measurements of the proposed Telecom equipment site using measuring height sticks, measuring wheels and range finders. The measurements will be written/drawn onto field maps. The notes/measurements taken will be used by our Engineers to design the placement of new telecom equipment along copper and fiber cable where specified by the customer and used for the submittal of permits to the appropriate governing entity.

What you will do:

  • Meet with property contact on-site to gather detailed site notes and photographs for each location

  • Perform post site survey verification questionnaire

  • Develop base mapping and provide field engineering services

  • Participate on project teams and ensure compliance with predetermined project deliverables

  • Adhere to administrative guidance on project execution

  • Identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve

  • Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Have good interpersonal skills

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Must have advanced training in the field

  • Must have experience in Telecommunications/MDU/Commercial Engineering

  • Have solid experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Have experience working in all weather conditions
