Job Duties and Responsibilities

As the UICC Engineer, you will make strong contributions to the 5G eSIM profile that will be used on both M2M and Consumer eUICCs, work day to day with SIM card vendors, develop test tools, and test/validate the operation of the eUICC/eSIM profile in devices on the DISH 5G network.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with SIM manufacturers and eSIM providers to optimize eSIM profile features for Dish 5G network.

  • Specify, review, and validate eSIM profile and eUICC applet contents and functionalities.

  • Contribute to a specialized team of UICC and eSIM experts.

  • Work closely with internal and external teams on SIM-OTA and Remote SIM Provisioning.

  • Manage relationships with UICC manufacturers like Thales, G+D, and Idemia.

  • Lead the team in specifying and implementing eSIM profile contents and eUICC applets.

  • Collaborate across teams to streamline SIM and device configurations for a universal SKU.

  • Define and implement SIM-OTA campaigns for eSIM profile updates such as roaming or sponsored roaming file updates.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Senior UICC Engineer, you will have:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business (or equivalent) OR equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in SIM technology and commercial product deployments.

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile product certification processes, including knowledge of industry-leading practices such as regulatory requirements and standards roadmaps.

  • Prior experience in SIM-based authentication and connected product development through launch is essential.

  • Prior experience with SIM test tools and ADPU logging.

  • Passion for working with new technologies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Fully engaged, serving as a persistent advocate for your teams and their objectives.

  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization through verbal and written means.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $148,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
