Our Opportunity:

This position will include responsibilities as both a Business System Analyst (BSA) and Release Manager (RM). The BSA will interact with our business upstream clients to determine their needs, convert those into technical stories and assist in technical project managing the solution thru implementation. In the BSA role the right candidate will leverage their analytical skills and experience to identify and evaluate requests, offer collaborative advice and juggle several efforts simultaneously while working to improve the product delivered for our business partners. The Release Manager role will provide oversight and responsibility for ensuring the proper implementation and timeliness of all changes to the applications we support, including responsibility for the release management lifecycle, scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across multiple Billing platforms. The queue/Release Manager works with the Product Management, Software Development, QA and vendor teams to ensure a successful, quality software release.

What you’ll do:

  • Translates business needs into technical solutions and corresponding technical requirements used throughout the development process. Develop Functional Specifications and system context diagrams are required.

  • Drive significant enhancements and streamlining of our processes and introduction of new technologies to bring more flexible products to market quickly.

  • Uses case requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests.

  • Track and manage a project’s scope, development, testing and deployment.

  • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.

  • Helps implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way and builds key relationships with stakeholders and communicates with partners.

  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

  • Facilitates effective project requirement discovery meetings while exhibiting confidence and extensive knowledge of business requirements and emerging technology best practices.

  • Partnering with business organizations to ensure expectations are met and acting as a liaison between business and technical teams to resolve issues.

  • Ensuring projects are progressing according to plan by resolving issues or obstacles.

  • Provide project management for both FOEX and funded projects to the Billing team. This includes documenting project schedules, timelines, identify and mitigate risks and communicate them with key stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • The Release Manager will assist in managing project interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release is measurable.

  • Advance planning of the release windows and cycles across the platform, taking into account enterprise change management schedules. Provides leadership and coordination of release content and effort, based on the release manifest, pending service requests and third party applications.

  • Work with Scrum Teams for Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, Change Ticket Reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews.

  • Manage and partner with business stakeholders to ensure priority work is addressed, sized and schedule for production.

  • Communicates release procedures, service and component versions, dependencies, and notification lists.

  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

  • Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment

What you have:

  • 5+ years gathering requirements from the business users, creating wireframes or uses case for the developers, and helping to create user stories in JIRA.

  • 5+ managing projects, including tracking schedules and deliverables, being the subject matter expert and brain storming ideas or solutions with the team.

  • Experience analyzing systems, data analysis, generating data reports, and able to create SQL quires to pull data.

  • Able to effectively manage releases which include determining which changes will be included in the release, maintaining and presenting a formal release document, ensuring all required audit requirements such as business requirements, code reviews and testing results are completed and that a thorough transition plan is in place.

  • Proven communication skills that include preparing for and facilitating meetings, preparing and presenting presentations, keeping the audience focused on the agenda, driving discussions to closure, influencing decisions and building strong relationships

  • Align with business owners on priorities and driving process to ensure technical staff is focused on priority work, target deliverable dates and strong adherence to standards and policies.

  • Basic desktop tool skills to include Windows Office, SharePoint, Secure Meeting, Atlassian, Remedy, WebEx. etc. Knowledge Agile Methodologies preferred.
