We believe that , when done right, investing liberates people to create their own destiny. We are driven by our purpose to champion every client’s goals with passion and integrity. We respect and appreciate the diversity of our employees, our clients, and the communities we serve. We challenge conventions strategically to create value for our clients, our firm and the world. We live and bring to life the concept of ‘own your tomorrow’ every day. We champion our employee strengths, guide their development, and invest in their long-term success. We hire optimistic, results-oriented, curious, innovative, and adaptable people with the desire to help our clients and one another succeed.
As a company, we were established by Chuck over 40 years ago to champion Main Street over Wall Street, and to help Americans transform themselves from earners to owners. Through advocacy and innovation, we work to make investing more affordable, accessible and understandable for all. As we enter our fifth decade, we are looking for talented, innovative and driven people who believe they can help themselves, and our clients, create a better future.
Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation, and has over $320 billion under management in mutual funds and ETFs. Products managed include a wide variety of active and indexed equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies, as well as money markets funds. CSIM uses a consistent and disciplined approach to investing across all our products and seeks to develop innovative new products to meet the core investing needs of our clients.
As a Performance/RFP Support Analyst in the Performance Reporting and Competitive Research Team, you will join a team responsible for analyzing, presenting and reporting on performance, attribution and other fund data and statistics for all of CSIM’s investment products both for internal business partners and the public. In addition, you will act as the subject matter expert within the Performance Team on CSIM’s fixed income products.
What you’ll do:
Specifically, you will calculate and compile performance data and develop attribution reports and analyses that explain the factors driving investment results. Information developed by the team is used by internal business partners, such as senior management and governance committees, who oversee the funds’ performance to monitor how our funds are tracking relative to expected targets and competitors. You will support business development by designing, developing and delivering data, content and other information about our funds’ performance and portfolio attributes. The resulting content or data is then published in various external channels, including our website, survey submissions, third-party databases and marketing and regulatory communications. To do your job, you will leverage various applications including FactSet, Morningstar, Blackrock Aladdin and Bloomberg, so prior experience with those applications is preferred. We continually seek to improve our operating models, so you can expect to be working on one or more projects concurrently. Accordingly, you may be tasked with developing business requirements for process enhancements/automation of tasks and will work with technical resources/developers and/or key vendors to implement.

CSIM is a matrixed organization, thus, the successful candidate displays outstanding collaboration skills and has experience with building partnerships. You will work with the portfolio management, business intelligence, technology, data governance, sales support, product management, investor relations and other CSIM teams. While this is not a technical position, nor a vendor management role, a basic understanding of data management/interfaces, file transmission processes and vendor management would be extremely helpful to the team given our current operating model. Familiarity with agile project methodologies and project management in general would also be helpful.
