Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation, and has over $340 billion under management in mutual funds and ETFs. Products managed include a wide variety of active and indexed equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies, as well as money markets funds. CSIM uses a consistent and disciplined approach to investing across all our products and seeks to develop innovative new products to meet the core investing needs of our clients.

CSIM seeks an experienced investment professional to serve as a Senior Manager and member of the CSIM Sales Support Team. This will be an individual contributor position. This investment professional’s primary responsibility will be the development of new content and the enhancement of existing content that can be used by the CSIM Sales Support Team when completing client responses, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).

What you’ll do:

This role presents an opportunity to foster strong relationships across the organization and develop knowledge of our business functions and products. A summary of certain roles and responsibilities follows:

  • Collaborate with both RFP Managers and Subject Matter Experts to develop clear concise content and to enhance existing content commonly used within written client responses

  • Support team’s effort to meet all deadlines and address content requirements, completing documents as necessary

  • Support use of a consistent tone and style across all content

  • Serve as team’s primary editor and proofreader

  • Maintain the team’s style guide

  • Develop strong relationships with key internal business partners including Sales, Product Management, Portfolio Management, Performance, Legal and Compliance

What you have:

  • Passion for serving clients

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced business training preferred

  • 8+ years of professional writing experience; 6+ years with focus on financial services RFP writing preferred

  • Experience working with content management systems preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of the asset management industry and the products and services offered through investment advisors

  • Excellent writing skills and mastery of the written English language and grammar

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
