Our Opportunity:

Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor relationship management process to maximize vendor performance and value. CVM mitigates, monitors, and manages vendor risk, and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Managing Director of Procurement, this Senior Manager, Business Analysis, is responsible for leading process improvements and orchestrating change management, while coordinating project resources on behalf of the department. This position requires a high level of cross-functional collaboration and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be capable of digesting complex analytical data and translating it into consumable information to meet business requirements and drive ideation.

In this individual contributor role, the Senior Manager, Business Analysis, will also be responsible for managing additional tasks to include, but not limited to:

  • Analyzing data to identify opportunities and drive improved performance and efficiency across Procurement

  • Assisting Procurement stakeholders in identifying project objectives and project improvement activities

  • Facilitating project performance and action items to ensure accurate, timely completion

  • Building cross-functional alliances and relationships to support complex processes

  • Leading and communicating change and change requirements, while understanding downstream impacts

  • Influencing the successful adoption of change across the department

Creating and executing presentations for team members at all levels across the company

What you have:

  • 5+ years of experience performing in either a Procurement or Vendor Management/Sourcing role

  • Strong analytical skills, research capabilities, and attention to detail

  • Solid experience leading and providing clear communication on projects of varying complexities

  • Proven track record of process improvement, problem solving, and change management

  • Drive to propel plans and initiatives to completion through active leadership and accountability

  • The ability to deliver clear, concise communication in both verbal and written formats

  • Robust initiative; willingness to take on complicated tasks and prioritize work proactively

  • The ability to influence others without direct supervisory responsibility

  • Experience building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Capacity to succeed in fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines

  • Experience in financial services and regulated industries a plus

  • Ability to learn and adopt new tools quickly

  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint a must; Ariba, PeopleSoft a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
