Description

The

David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM) seeks to hire a Business

Analyst in the Dean's Office to support the implementation of Ascend 2.0 project.

The Business Analyst is an important member of the DGSOM Controller's team,

reporting to the Assistant Controller and will be instrumental in the

successful implementation Oracle Cloud (Ascend 2.0) project for DGSOM. In this

role, you will handle a high volume of data that you will help gather, analyze,

and consolidate for over DGSOM 30+ departments.

Monthly

Salary Range: $5,958.33 - $12,908.33

This is a contract position that may convert to career.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Business Process Optimization: Proficiency in business process reengineering and optimization techniques.

  • Financial System Implementation: Proven track record in successfully implementing financial systems.

  • Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation.

  • Software Proficiency: Adept at working with financial software systems, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to oversee implementation projects from initiation to completion.

  • Effective Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Data Integrity: Unwavering commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving technology and business requirements.

  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in analyzing intricate financial and technical issues.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of four years of experience in accounting operations or administrative analysis.

  • Fund Accounting: Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with fund accounting and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance are highly preferred.

  • Accounting Standards: Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines.

  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including data analysis and the ability to devise alternative solutions while excelling in group-based problem-solving scenarios.
