Job Description

This Sr. Network Engineer will be joining a prestigious University in Los Angeles on the Network Services team. They will be joining to configure and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, optimize network performance, implement security measures, and support some projects. There are over 4,000 students living on campus so within residence halls they will be responsible for cleaning up ports in closets which they have a backlog of work for. For day to day maintenance and team support they will be doing port activation, wifi troubleshooting across campus, testing wireless signals, deploying switches on network support and supporting the senior network engineers on the team with some classroom refresh projects to replace switches in data centers. They will be primarily on site at the West LA campus but may every now and then spend a day at the Law School campus in DTLA (hours 8-5 M-F with some opportunity for overtime).

Skills and Requirements

-3+ years of Network Engineering experience (open to CCNA as long as they have at least 3 years of experience)

-Experience with Cisco technologies, Cisco routers and switches (networking switch 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400 series), and other Cisco tech

-Wireless troubleshooting networking experience and some Firewall experience (Firepower solution and Palo Alto Solution)

-Any data center networking experience

-Willingness to work 5 days on site on campus in West LA -CCNP ideally (okay if it is expired) null
