JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Wisconsin Alzheimer\'s Disease Research Center (ADRC) conducts research in the field of aging and dementia, and seeks to establish effective prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of Alzheimer\'s disease and related causes of dementia. A Programmer Analyst - Research is needed to work with the new Flywheel software platform to store neuroimaging research data and process the data through Flywheel gears or pipelines written in Python, Matlab, and other tools listed above. The qualified candidate will have an essential role in the ADRC Biomarker Core, Neuroimaging Data Team. The successful candidate will work in the lab of Prof. Sterling Johnson and support cutting edge neuroimaging research studies in Alzheimer\'s disease and other causes of cognitive impairment within the ADRC Biomarker Core. The main focus will be the national ADRC Consortium for CLARiTI (CLarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging). This position requires analytic thinking and the ability to apply technical innovation to clinically relevant problems. The primary duties include, but are not limited to: (1) Working with partners at the Flywheel company, at the National Alzheimer\'s Coordinating Center (NACC), and collaborators across the country to implement Flywheel in the newly funded CLARiTI consortium (https://naccdata.org/nacc-collaborations/clariti) and to collaborate on adapting existing tools or developing tools to meet the needs of the consortium; (2) Developing methods for migrating historical images and other data from existing data management systems into the Flywheel platform; (3) Reading pre-written code and applications, translating and integrating into Flywheel\'s platform; (4) Processing PET and MR images; (5) Supporting local and national imaging research teams, including training and acting as the subject matter expert; and (6) Preparing data and reports. In addition to having technical acumen, a successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with immediate teammates and other collaborators, be effective in multi-project management, and be a clear and effective communicator while meeting project timelines.
