Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a PART TIME Accounting Assistant in Mansfield, Ohio. This role primarily involves handling accounting tasks such as debits/credits, AR/AP, and cross-training on all roles within accounting. The successful candidate will also be involved in financial statement preparation, month/year-end close operations, and will manage accounting-related tasks for three separate entities.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounting tasks including debits/credits, AR/AP

• Cross-train on all roles within the accounting department

• Prepare financial statements

• Manage month/year-end close operations

• Oversee accounting-related tasks for three separate entities

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Perform Billing Functions and monitor Cash Activity

• Prepare Financial Statements and carry out Month End Close operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for managing and analyzing data

• Experience with accounting functions such as balancing sheets, income statements, and other financial reports

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment scheduling

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) including billing, collection, and revenue recognition

• Familiarity with billing functions such as invoice generation, payment tracking, and issue resolution

• Experience in handling cash activity including deposits, withdrawals, and bank reconciliations

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations

• Experience in executing month-end close procedures including account reconciliation, journal entries, and report preparation
