Local Detroit Company looking for Diesel Mechanic/ Maintenance Technician! 

1st shift

Pay: $25-$30/hr., 

Job Duties: 

Ensure adherence to safety standards including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), remove hazards as identified, and maintain cleanliness of the site. Performs repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and electrical equipment on the site's trucks and yard machinery. Air system diagnostics and repair. Electrical diagnostics and repairs Inspect, lubricate and service equipment per company maintenance schedules. Change flat tires. Make service calls on down trucks and pick up parts from various dealerships as required. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments, or replacements Drive trucks and trailers to test their performance. Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED and must be at least 18 years of age. Must have valid driver's license, CDL preferred. Experience as a diesel mechanic and experience with hydraulic systems preferred. Experience welding and torching preferred
