GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Jail administrators, performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks at the main jail, dormitory and related facilities and grounds. Supervises inmate(s) assigned as trusty in basic maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and repair tasks such as repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures, maintaining air handler units, replacing ceiling tiles, and replacing light fixtures and ballasts. Performs maintenance tasks in a high security environment requiring control of tools and equipment.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: One year of prior building maintenance experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Drivers License: The applicant must possess a valid operator's license.

Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
