Catalent Pharma Solutions Senior Project Manager in Morrisville, North Carolina

Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Senior Project Manager for the Project Management group. This role is responsible for managing the non-technical aspects of projects for the Sterile, Respiratory and Analytical Development and Services capability. This includes ensuring on time and on budget delivery of projects and acting as a focal point between customers and our technical team. This position is also responsible for managing a team of Project Managers, Senior Project Coordinators, Project Coordinators and Project Administrators and/or may also manage large programs. The position provides leadership and direction for the team as they manage a portfolio of analytical development and/or manufacturing project teams (and other project teams as designated). This position is the main point of customer contact for project related activities and involves managing the execution of the customer’s requirements as per an agreed upon program of activities.

This is a full-time role position: Monday – Friday, days.

The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is Catalent's Center of Excellence for Analytical Services and is also home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays.

The Role

  • Key customer contact on all project related issues and communication; ensure appropriate and timely communication is maintained.

  • Develop, coordinate, and track timelines/tasks for customer/internal projects or programs through the entire project life cycle utilizing the PM toolkit

  • Guide, mentor, and provide direction for Project Managers, Senior Project Coordinators, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrators.

  • Assist business development in maintaining customer relationship

  • Proactively evaluate, highlight, and escalate unresolved issues, potential barriers to project progression, and resources constraints to management.

  • Create, update, and maintain Catalent Project Management Methodology tools and templates.

  • Maintain internal Project Management data and ensure timely update of folders.

  • Provide backup support for Director, Project Management.

  • Consult and advise upper management on project status and report issues that may affect ultimate results

  • All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

  • Bachelors degree in a life science or related field

  • Seven or more years of relevant Project Management experience

  • Five or more years of direct project management experience

  • Product development experience is strongly preferred

  • Experience working in Microsoft Project or similar software is preferred

  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean/Operational Excellence Principles

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
