BAE Systems Senior Software Engineer (On-Site) in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

Because this role involves integration and test in a classified lab for the next 2 years, work will need to be performed on-site. There will be an option for flight and ground test at customer sites if desired. After this integration effort is complete there will be options for hybrid work, involving a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

We are actively seeking experienced Software Engineers with a minimum of four years of experience and a range of skills. The Software Engineer will apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. Job Responsibilities

Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C ) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.

You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.

You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.

You will utilize either a Linux or Windows based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.

You may participate in external project interactions with other companies

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and minimum of 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Secret Clearance (active within the last two years)

Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation

High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. C , QT)

Experience using scripting languages, such as Python

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software

Proficient with source code control tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience with Real-time Embedded Software Development

Experience with Agile Development and DevSecOps

Experience developing Linux and Windows Operating Systems

Experience using software tools like Jira, BitBucket, ClearCase and Confluence

Experience with Containers including Docker or Kubernetes.

Software automated test development and execution

Software algorithm development

Desire to lead technical teams

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
