Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated Segment Producer to join us in reinventing the iconic "Wall Street Week" of Louis Rukeyser, creating the first-ever true "news magazine" for the digital age. It is more than a program. It is a portfolio of video, audio, and text story-telling produced for linear television, streaming, radio, and social media. Based in New York, you will report to the magazine's Senior Producer and work with the team putting together our weekly package of content, as well as assisting with other coverage for our global network. We want someone with a strong editorial background and a creative streak, who excels in writing, editing, producing and -- most of all -- thinking.

You should have a broad interest in global news with a focus on finance and the economy.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:

• Research, write and produce strong editorial copy with speed and accuracy.

• Create and find video and graphic elements to support the stories.

• Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content.

• Work closely with the executive producer, show producers and talent on segments.

• Coordinate with colleagues in the print newsroom for cross-platform efforts and amplification of interviews.

• Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to package content for different platforms.

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

• At least 3 years of experience booking and/or producing for TV. Radio, and/or streaming.

• Knowledge of business news and the financial markets.

• Problem solving skills, with the ability to work as part of a collegial team under deadline pressure.

• Flexibility with hours.

Salary Range: 70,000 - 100,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
