As a Sr. Director, New Business, your primary role is to tell the story of Publicis Health’s clinical trial experience (CTE) services to the world. You will focus on identifying and building strategic relationships with new clients and recognizing and converting new business opportunities to support long-term sustainable growth.

WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO

As a member of the growth team, the Sr. Director, New Business is responsible for becoming an expert in all things Publicis Health CTE, including the agency’s capabilities, offerings, CTE landscape and client’s business. They are partnering with VP, Growth to develop the agencies new business strategy and are responsible for executing on the agreed upon plan.

The Sr. Director, New Business’s responsibilities are outlined in the key areas below:

  • Lead development of agency new business plan, including relevant SMEs in partnership with VP

  • Conduct new client outreach; maintain a cadence of emails, LinkedIn InMails, and cold calls based on agreed metrics / KPIs

  • Maintain eCRM for both target and existing clients

  • Identify new business opportunities based on industry trend reports and client pipelines

  • Input into conference and marketing strategy, balancing business KPIs, marketing goals, commercial targets and available budget

  • Represent the agency at industry events and conferences and deliver against agreed upon KPIs

  • Lead the triaging of inbound opportunities including assessment, qualification, client needs meetings and make decisions about whether to bid or not to bid.

  • Responsible for the timely follow-up of assigned contacts and prospects and assign contacts to team for follow-up.

  • Lead agency credential presentations based on client requirements and business KPIs.

  • Meet with assigned clients regularly to discuss strategic needs, goals, pipelines and potential opportunities and identify future project needs

  • Input into quarterly Account Planning Meetings with Head of Partnerships and delivery leads

  • Provide exceptional customer experience by providing consultative thought leadership through workshops, training sessions, and rich content for executive level clients

  • Responsible for high-profile pitches. Including orchestrating pitch rehearsals and preparing pitch team for final presentations, strengthening overall story flow, individual talk tracks and ensuring we are delivering on client ask

  • Flexes as an account/strategy leader when needed and can step in as pitch team member presenting to prospective clients.

  • Acts as final sign off person ensuring all pitch materials are signed off prior to pitch to a high standard.

Qualifications

YOUR BACKSTORY

  • 5-7 years new business experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education

  • Ad agency experience is a big plus; healthcare experience (and/or enjoyment) would be helpful too; knowledge of clinical trials is a triple-bonus score

  • Meticulous attention to detail; we are an eagle-eyed team that crosses every “t” and finds every missed period

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and take direction from others

  • Personal accountability for on-time, high-quality execution against tight deadlines

  • Flexible self-starter who has an appetitive to grow and take on new challenges

  • Shrinking violets need not apply – we need someone with a collaborative spirit that is passionate about their viewpoint, but also open to new ones

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $115,000-$194,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
